The Lake County Public Defender's office, located in Painesville, Ohio, has an immediate opening for a full-time attorney to represent clients in felony cases. Those interested must have prior experience handling misdemeanor and felony cases, including representation of clients at jury trials. The salary varies depending upon the number of years of experience as a practicing attorney, but the minimum yearly salary is $60,000.

The Clinton County Public Defender’s Office has an opening for the head Public Defender. The Clinton County Public Defender shall serve as an unclassified agent and at the pleasure of the Clinton County Public Defender Commission. The position is responsible for the planning and strategic direction of the public defender office in Clinton County.
