R.C. 2921.21 -- Compounding a crime.
 
Frilby v. State (1884), 42 Ohio St. 205 -- "In prosecutions...for compounding or abandoning...it is not necessary to aver in the indictment, or prove on the trial, that a crime had actually been committed by the person so prosecuted."
