Jay Macke
Supervisor of Intake,
Prison, and Parole Section
Jay
Macke is the supervisor of the Intake, Prison and
Parole Section. Prior
to joining the Office of the Ohio Public Defender in
2007, Macke was the Staff Attorney at The
Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Justice
for Children Project.
Macke
has also worked in private practice, as an adjunct
professor of appellate advocacy
at the OSU Moritz
College of Law,
as a staff
attorney in the Third
Appellate District of Ohio,
and as a deputy clerk in the Franklin County Municipal
Court.
Macke
earned his Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State
University College of Law.
He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Philosophy from Ohio University.
Macke
is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the
Columbus Bar Association, and the Ohio Association of
Criminal Defense Lawyers, where he serves as Secretary
and Executive Board Member.
